The IB Visual Arts class at UNIS is known for its rigorous program, and this year’s graduating students showcased their talent and hard work at the Caelum Gallery in Chelsea, NYC. These students dedicated countless hours to creating stunning artworks using various mediums like pencil, paint, clay, and so much more. Their pieces carry deep meaning and beauty leaving a lasting impression with their creativity and dedication to their craft.
Unsurprisingly, the exhibition at the Caelum Gallery was nothing short of amazing. From intricate paintings to thought-provoking sculptures, the IB art students featured a diverse range of artworks that captivated their viewers.
A Tut House teacher, Mr. Herman, expressed admiration for the student’s unique approach, stating, “It’s wonderful to see such a different side of these kids.” A current junior and visual arts student, Aine Rogers, highlighted the immense effort put in by the students, saying, “They’ve accomplished so much… it’s incredible to see how much work they’ve generated. I’m not sure how we’ll top this next year; they’ve set the bar high!”
The exhibition not only showcased the students’ artistic abilities but also served as a testament to their hard work and determination throughout their IB Visual Arts journey. For those who missed this year’s exhibition, let this serve as your reminder to not skip out on the next one, as the successors of the UNIS arts program continue to create incredibly beautiful pieces of art.
