UN Day Outfits
On October 19, UNIS celebrated its annual United Nations Day. Starting off with the colorful parade with all of the Junior School students wear their national clothing holding homemade flags and drawings. The Tut House students cheered them on, watching for their little siblings, or remembering the time they themselves were that young.
Students from all grades were encouraged to wear clothes that represent their home countries. In our Tut House hallways, flags were draped around students and painted across their faces, and students wore jerseys and clothing from all over the world. Not only was it fun to wear national clothing, but it also shows how unique we all are. A day of seeing so many different outfits just displays the multiculturalism fostered at UNIS.
It’s also exciting to see a friend or someone at the school from your own country. Just like the picture below, where two pairs of students are wearing Turkish jerseys.
